SLO Yoga Center COVID-19 Response

UPDATE AS OF MARCH 13, 2021: SLO County has moved back into the RED tier. Please carefully review our COVID-19 safety protocols. Please note that Face masks are currently required at all times while inside including for class. We recommend a moisture-wicking mask or disposable mask for practice - it’s very comfortable and you can barely feel it! We have disposable masks available for you at the studio. Please thoroughly read the safety protocols below.

We’ve implemented a comprehensive set of protocols consistent with the County, State, and CDC guidelines for reducing the spread of COVID19. We thank you for reading and following these procedures to keep our community safe and healthy.

  • Advanced booking is required. Please book your class in advance through our schedule online: www.sloyogacenter.com/schedule

  • If we don't already have one on file, you'll be prompted to sign an updated waiver for all guests to ensure understanding of updated safety and health guidelines.

  • Please bring your own mat. We are currently not providing rental mats so please bring your own mat for practice. Members are welcome to store their mat at the studio. We have blocks, weights, bolsters, blankets, and straps available to use. We have antibacterial wipes available for you to clean blocks and weights used after class. We will clean blankets, bolsters, and straps. You'll keep your personal belongings with you next to your mat rather than placing in the cubbies.

  • Protective Personal Equipment (PPE): Face masks will be required when entering and leaving the studio, including while practicing. Please bring your own mat. Again, we do have blocks and weights available and we request that you wipe down any blocks and weights used with antibacterial wipes provided at the studio.

  • Cleaning and sanitizing: practice rooms and common areas will be cleaned between every single class. We are using EPA-recommended disinfectant and cleansers. There will also be cleaning and sanitizing supplies throughout the studio for your use. We have set our class schedule to allow for sufficient time between classes to clean and to avoid congestion in the studio common areas.

  • Physical distancing: All students and staff will be required to maintain at least 6 feet of distance from others and this is reflected in our class capacity. So advance sign-up will be required. Instructors will teach from their own mat and there are mat markers in each studio so it's clear where to place your mat to maintain social distancing.

  • Signs are posted to let you know where your class is located so you can go right into the studio. No need to stop at the front desk. We'll check everyone in from their mats.

  • Cancellation policy: because we are operating at a very small capacity, if you cancel your class less than 4 hours before class start or don’t show for class, you will be charged a $15 cancellation fee. Thank you for understanding.

  • Health checks: All team members will do a temperature check when they come into the studio. A temperature check for students is not required. By showing up for class, you are confirming that you're not experiencing any symptoms for COVID19 (fever, cough, flu-like symptoms). If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and cancel your reservation.

  • Our team reserves the right to ask you to leave the studio if you’re exhibiting symptoms or do not wish to adhere to the requirements mentioned. We will not charge the $15 cancel fee if we ask you to leave. Thank you for understanding the need to keep the health and safety of our community as our highest priority.

  • Facility updates: We have installed touchless faucets and soap dispensers and have spruced up the studio with some new lighting, ceiling fans, signage, paint, etc. Windows and doors are left open as much as possible during practice.

Thank you for reviewing this information and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime with questions, comments, or concerns.
